JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced, confident and inspiring Nursery Manager to lead the opening, development and daily running of our new nursery in Broxbourne. This is an exciting leadership opportunity to shape a setting from the very beginning — building a team, setting standards and creating exceptional early years experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead day-to-day operational running of the nursery
• Build, develop and mentor a staff team
• Ensure EYFS delivery and curriculum quality
• Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Manage policies, health & safety and compliance
• Support Ofsted registration and inspection
• Maintain strong family and community relationships
• Monitor occupancy, budgets and admissions

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Level 3 Early Years qualification (minimum)
• Leadership/supervisory experience
• Strong EYFS + safeguarding knowledge
• Experience working in an early years setting
• Ability to manage people, processes & priorities
• Confident communication & IT skills

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

• Level 4/5/6 or equivalent
• Experience supporting Ofsted inspections
• SEND inclusion experience
• Software literacy (Famly, Blossom, Tapestry etc.)
• Experience in nursery start-up environment
